Goodbye too soon....

My car was stolen last week... bummer.

I just want my sweet Ford Contour to know that even though I always said I hated you, deep down I did care about you. You were the first car that my parents didn't buy me.... my new fiance did. :) You were there for all our honeymoon, road trips with my new husband, to and from Melaleuca for 2 1/2 years, my companion in discovering Beatles music, being pulled over for not getting you registered and having to pay 2 tickets because of it, and learning to drive on icey roads during Idaho winters.... sorry I wasn't very nice to you. Now that you are gone I miss you, even though I am exited to get a new car. Thanks for being there even when I didnt want you to be.

And to the person who stole my car...... take care of my baby.... also I hope you get get caught by the police and then taken to jail for STEALING MY CAR JERK!!!!!

2 years!! Holy Cow!

Time flies when you are having fun! Our anniversary present to each other was our trip to Cali but we thought we would take a day trip on our actual anniversary. (It was August 2nd but I am a little late posting) We decided to drive to Cave Falls in Yellowstone and enjoy a day in nature. I took a good book and Dan took his fishing pole. We had a great time, even though the water was FREEZING!!

He finally got me in the water- SO COLD!!And I got him to hang out with me."All you need is love...."I am so happy to be Dan's wife. He is my best friend and eternal companion. I am the luckiest girl to call him my husband.

I know, I know- I should not even be allowed to have a blog if I don't update it. I promise to try harder...

Because I haven't posted in forever ALOT has happened in the Robison household.

We took a trip to Vegas and saw the Beatles LOVE show. It was amazing!! My sweet husband actually surprised me with the soundtrack last night. Love him!!!!
The entrance to the Beatles show....After Vegas we headed to California! We has so much fun!! We went to the many different beaches, Hollywood, downtown San Diego, and much more. Dan and I both agree this was the best vacation either one of us ever took. Here our some pictures of our journey:

After Hollywood, Dan has his heart set on going to Venus Beach. It was really cool to see all the people selling crafts and playing music. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband...is finally relaxing (and looking so hot)

My brother...makes me proud

My head feels...stressed about our upcoming vacation (St. George, to Vegas, to Cali)

I can't wait...to be on the beach next week

I will...try to be more patient with others around me

Moving Day!

Good new: We sold ourhouse!!
This week had been crazy with the 4th of July, my parents coming to visit, moving and all the stress that comes with that!
We are alive and well, although you would not know that with how rarely we update our blog.
No worries, more updates to come.

Hello Everyone!! Life has been busy in the Robison household. Here is just a few updates on what has been going on for us the past couple of months....

Macie turned 21!!
We took a trip to Wendover to do a little gambling (you have to do something on your 21st birthday)
Went to a "1964- The Tribute" concert- they were almost identical to the Beatles (notice my cool Beatles T-Shirt)

Took a trip to SLC and found this AWESOME Beatles mural
Won tickets to the Britney Spears & Pussy Cat Dolls concert over the radio
Realized Britney is NOT the same girl I used to listen to when I was 12
Went on our first fishing trip of the summer
Realized it was too cold for fishing
Played Rockband with my awesome boss :)
All in all it's been a fun couple of months! Hopefully we won't go so long without catching up. We love you-

New Office and Bedroom

It's so much fun to have a house to decorate! Its a great way to spend time together and I think we make a great decorating team. Here is what we have been working on.....

Master Bedroom

I am totally in love with Zebra print, so I am so glad Dan let me buy these pillows. I am still looking for the perfect accent pillow to go in the middle of the bed.

The Office (Beatles Room)
Dan has all these awesome Beatles posters which we decided to display. We LOVE our office and use it all the time. Dan can work on the computer and I can read in my chair. It's a nice escape from watching T.V.

Dan's Grandpa made us this lamp- it doesn't totally fit the theme of the room, but we love it! Now I just need to find a new cushion for the chair. I am not crafty enough to make a one myself.

The office wouldnt be complete without my beloved "John Lennon, The Life" book. Yes- I am totally obsessed with the Beatles! :)

Joy to the World!

Dan and I have a wonderful Christmas. We visited my parents down in Kaysville. My brother, Kellen, who lives in Florida was also able to spend the holidays with us. It was great to spend time with the family, eat great food, and take in the holiday season. We spend alot of time in the basement playing ping pong and box hockey.

Although Dan and I were not very good to start with, we got better the more we played. My parents much play ping pong a lot because there were awesome!! Dan and I played them and they beat us within 5 minutes!!

On Christmas Eve my parents took us to the "Body Worlds" exhibit in Salt Lake City.
Kellen was a little apprehensive, the entire exhibit is on the human body. If you haven't heard about it, you should look it up. It was pretty cool.

Christmas Eve my parents did their famous smoked ham and turkey. SO YUMMY!! Kellen thought Mookie felt a little left out so he invited him to the table. Never has a dog been more spoiled.

After dinner Kellen let me and Dan open the gift he bought for us. He had given us the Office DVD Board Game. We spent the rest of the night laughing and having a great time. Although Dan, Kellen, and I have seen EVERY Office episode, Mom won (She has only seen one episode). We think she is the most like Dwight so that is why she got all of the questions right. Here is a picture of our game pieces.

The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast. Dan's sister, Becca, had made us some wonderful cinnomon rolls and we ate some more of our Christmas Eve ham. Dan was very thoughtful with the gifts he bought for me. He bought me a pink cover for my phone, a massage, and a Beatles book I have been wanting. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful husband.

We wanted to take a family picture while we were all together for the holidays, but never got around to it. We has to improvise and use the self timer on the camera to get a picture of us. I don't think it turned out too bad!

Dan had to work the Friday after Christmas so unfortunately we had to leave Christmas night. We had such a great time with my family. I loved being able to see Kellen. I miss him so much now that he lives in Florida. I am lucky that my parents only live a couple of hours away, so we get to see them on a regular basis.

After leaving my parents we had a great time with the Robison's. Becca's fiance came to visit so the whole family was together. We had a great time decorating cookies with the little girls. I made a gingerbread girl to look like Kenzie. The little girls had a great time and we ended up with some really creative cookies!

All in all we had a great Christmas holiday. We are so thankful for our wonderful families and the time we were able to share with each of them. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and I love him more and more each day.

Hello Hello!!
Well not much has changed in the Robison household. Dan and I have completely moved into our house and really are starting to make it our home. I have this new found obsession with the Beatles (Dan couldn't be happier) so I decided to create a Beatles room in our house. Dan has all these awesome posters and we are going to frame them and put in our new reading room (Pictures soon to come). Dan also convinced me to bring "Beatlemania" to our living room as well. We took one of the nicer photos and put it in a pretty frame.

Now we have nothing on our walls but Ringo, John, George, and Paul- I LOVE IT!

Also new and exciting, I am going to be starting a new job soon. I found a job with an insurance company down in Idaho Falls. I am really excited but I am sad to leave Melaleuca. I have been training my new replacement the past couple of days and I know she will do a great job. I am sad to leave all the friends I have made with such a wonderful company, but I am excited for a new challenge. Dan even mentioned with the new job, he might even buy me a new car- HURRAY!!!!!! So now on my Christmas wish list: a new cell phone, a dishwasher, and a new car.... lets see if he can deliver!! :)
All in all things are going well. We are very excited to announce we are have new Brother-in-law joining the family. Dan's sister, Becca, met this wonderful guy and he proposed just this week! We were able to spend some time with Nick over Thanksgiving and we are overjoyed about him joining the family.

Hello Again!

I have not updated my blog in quite awhile! A lot has happened over the last few weeks. Dan is now working for Alltel. He is doing a great job and really enjoying himself. Last week Dan left for a 6 day training is Montana. I missed him terribly but the nice thing about living in Idaho Falls is I can take my mind off things with all the shopping I have available to me :).
2 weeks ago Dan, Rob and I headed to a cabin out in the middle of no where! I was a little nervous about the trip because this time we were packing all of our gear on the four wheelers.

I am a bit of a princess when it comes to camping, and I was not sure if I would survive the weekend. I kept a positive attitude and the closer we got to the cabin the more excited I became. Things were going great until I saw this.....

The sign is saying "No Four wheelers"- which means, we will have a mile to the cabin but we cannot take the four wheelers any further. Both four wheelers are packed to the max and it was starting to get dark. We decided to pack what we could to the cabin, all of us trying to keep a positive attitude! Dan and I were first to reach the cabin and to our surprise- it is occupied!!!!! There were 2 elk hunters who have been staying in the cabin for the past week. They were not sure if we were going to show up so they decided to settle in for the night. Fortunately they had a camp set up near by, so we did not have to share the cabin with them. The hunters told us that the morning before there was a grizzly bear in the fire pit!!! After that story we were too scared to go outside and sit by the fire, so we were in for the night.

The next morning we woke up early and ate a wonderful pancake breakfast. Rob always makes sure we have a hot breakfast whenever we go camping.

After breakfast we explored a little bit and then decided to head back to the four wheelers. We were pretty bummed that we could not ride the four wheelers around the cabin. Dan and Rob found some really cool trails on the map- but they were useless to us without the four wheelers. Although the trip did not go according to plan, we had a pretty good time. If nothing else the cabin had a beautiful view.... :)
I always like to have reading material when we go on our trips. It wouldn't be camping without an US magazine! :)

Rob found other ways to entertain himself (The whiskey was left by the previous occupents. They also left this wonderful wig)

A couple of weeks ago Dan and I went down to Kaysville, Utah to visit my parents. They just moved from Georgia to Utah. Their new house is so nice and my mom has done a great job decorating!! It is so wonderful to have my parents close by. This last weekend they came up to Idaho to help us finish remodeling our basement. I felt bad putting them to work but my parents were happy to help. I also love being able to see Mookie. He's the best dog in the world- I keep telling Dan when we finally get a dog we are going to name him Mookie Jr.

Oh Edward....

So I finally finished the Twilight saga- thank goodness. I laughed, I cried, and now more than ever I believe in "happily ever after". I will forever love Edward Cullen, but at least now I know Bella deserves him.....

Okay- back to reality!! Dan is very excited I finished the books. Little did he know when I started reading the Twilight books, Edward would consume my thoughts.

Dan, you have your wife back, and yes- I am glad I married you and not Edward Cullen!

Good luck Bella and Edward- see you in the movies!

New Home

For those of you who don't know, Dan and I recently moved to Idaho Falls. The house was originally an investment property, but when things went south, Dan and I decided to move into it. It has been tons of fun living down there in our own house and being able to experience a new city. Dan loves to go metal detecting in the evenings while I read the newest book in the Twilight saga. We don't have internet at the moment so I am only able to check email on the weekends when we come back to Rexburg. I hope to have pictures of our new house up soon- until them hope all is well with you!!

Happy Anniversary!!

I decided to surprise Dan for our special day. I reserved a theme suite at a local hotel, Destination's Inn. He had no idea- Dan thought we were going to a work party for the evening. We drove 30 minutes to Idaho Falls, and we finally got to the hotel.
Dan had NO idea what was going on until we actually walked into the hotel and went to the front desk. We stayed in the New York suite. It was awesome!!!! Our room was ready for use with sparkling cider on ice and cheesecake (Yum!) Dan and I took advantage of the steam showers and jet tub. We then spend the evening eating Quizno's and watching movies. It was so wonderful to get away together and enjoy each other's company. Here are some pictures of our room. The hotel was wonderful and Dan was so surprised!

The next morning Chris and Scott met us in Idaho Falls and we went down to Lagoon together!
We had a great time with them!!

Dan and Chris were troopers and made it through most of the day. Once they could not stop their heads from spinning, Scott and I went and finished off the day by going on rides over and over again.

Next time you go to Lagoon, take a chiropractor with you.
Chris and I got adjusted by Scott after a few too many jerks of the neck. Dan's favorite part of the day is when I was pulverized in bumper cars- after he made sure I was okay he could not stop laughing!

All in all it was a wonderful anniversary! I could not have asked for a more wonderful husband!
1 year down, eternity left to go. I can't wait!

Demolition Derby

I know, it's been forever since I have blogged- so I am going to do a little back dating. About 3 weeks ago Dan and I went on a date to the Demolition Derby!We had such a great time! This was my first demolition derby and I couldn't believe how cool it was!! I keep trying to talk Dan into letting me enter our car into the derby, but he keeps telling me "no"- (what a party pooper). Anyways, I took some pictures to document the destruction.

Squirrel Meadows Cabin

Last weekend Rob rented a cabin up at Squirrel Meadows. Dan and I were so excited. The cabin was great, and Rob put a lot into preparations to make sure everything was comfortable for us. Scott brought the little girls up for the first night and it was great to have them there. We took the fourwheelers up, (of course) and we had a great time on our drive. We found a field full of beautiful wild flowers. The girls were able to collect pretty of bouquets for when Christina and Jan came to visit. Breakfast was wonderful, Rob is a great pancake maker. He packed plenty of bug spray, and boy did we need it. The mesquites where EVERYWHERE. We would spend the evenings around the camp fire, and it was usually pleasant if you could reapply mesquites repellent every 5 minutes!

But mesquites were the least of our worries. Dan decided to go fishing in the creek that ran behind the cabin. He waded in pretty far and fell into a beaver run. He was soaked clear up to his neck. While he was changing into dry clothes we found a leach on him- GROSS!! Lucky for us, Kenzie saved the day and squished the leach.

Fourwheeling, fourwheeling, FOURWHEELING!!

One of our favorite things to do together is go fourwheeling. In the past couple of weekends, we have covered ALOT of ground on the fourwheelers. Even though I don't have my own fourwheeler (YET), I love hanging on to the back with my arms around Dan. It's so much fun to pack a lunch, load up the Pepsi, and enjoy the day with family and friends. About 2 weeks ago my parents came to visit and we took them to one of our favorite spots. It was fun to show them parts of Idaho that most people don't get to see. Usually Dan packs a fishing pole so whenever we have a Pepsi break he can cast a line.

Father's Day!

As Father's Day is coming up I think about how grateful I am for the fathers (and future fathers) I have in my life.

For starters- I couldn't have asked for a better dad growing up. He was always there to love me, encourage me, calm me down when I was having my "Drama Queen" moments. I will forever be a Daddy's girl and I am so grateful for the example my dad has set for me.

Another Dad I want to praise is my father-in-law, Rob. He is such an amazing man and I am so blessed to be apart of his family. Rob is a great fishing partner, a good friend, and he is always willing to share his Diet Pepsi stash with me. :)

A future Dad- (hopefully)- is my brother Kellen. Although Kellen isn't even considering fatherhood right now, I know he will be an amazing dad one day. He is such a wonderful person and his kids will be so lucky to have such a fun, interesting, and COOL dad.

Last but DEFIANTLY not least, is my amazing husband, Dan. I am so blessed to have Dan in my life, and I am so excited for him to be the father of our children. Our kids will have so much to learn from Dan, and I know he is going to whatever he is kind of dad that every child deserves. I love Dan so much and I look forward to the time we start a family together.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

A Day in the Life....

Well- not much much has changed for Dan and I the past couple of months. We are trying not to go insane with the weather being so rotten. I usually rave about how much I love Rexburg, but today, June 11th, it SNOWED!! It was probably the most depressing day of my life. Dan is going crazy not being able to fish, but we are planning to take the four wheelers out this weekend if it starts to warm up.
Dan has been working really hard on his internet business. He has decided to go with a new web developer to give his existing website a face lift. You can go to recordergear.com to see the "soon to be updated" page. Dan has also been working on fixing up a house down in Idaho Falls. We had renters in the house, but we had to evict them and they left the place a total mess. Dan has done such a great job fixing it up. It has been so much fun going down to the house together and working on it.
What can I say- my husband is amazing. He works so hard at everything he does. I am so proud of him and all the work he has put into creating Recordergear and fixing up the house. I glad the weather will be nice enough this weekend to give him a much needed break.
As for me, I am just enjoying my new job a Melaleuca. I am the new Lobby Receptionist and I LOVE it! I have also been keeping busy with getting ready for Girl's Camp. I am the assistance Camp Director and I am enjoying it so much. I am really looking forward to camp, but there is still so much work to be done. Dan and I are also primary teachers, so I am lucky work with the 4 years old as well as the young women.
In more exciting news- I'm happy to announce my parents have officially left Georgia. They sold their house about a week ago and moved, for the time being, to Salt Lake City. Dan and I are really looking forward to spending time with them. (I'm even more excited to see my dog, Mookie!) Other than that things are pretty normal at the Robison household.

Elk Bend Hot Springs

Dan and I took a trip to Elk Bend Hot Springs one weekend. It was a boring 2 hour drive, but we finally got there. It was about a 30 minute . The hot springs were all different temperatures and they looked out over a beautiful mountain range.

Vegas Baby!

Around the beginning of April, our family decided to take a trip to Las Vegas- I was SO excited!! I was the only one in the family who hadn't been to Vegas. We stayed in a wonderful condo with plenty of room for everyone. The weather was beautiful- it was a nice escape from Rexburg's cold weather! I am now in love with Las Vegas. I don't know whether it was the buffets or the lights, but I was in awe the entire trip. We also took the four wheelers down and took them for a spin on the Nevada deserts.
